A good diet plays a huge part in children's brain development

Food and nutrition is something that’s very important to us. A good diet plays a huge part in our children’s brain development. We took part in Warrington Councils Healthy Together Award and after having our menus analysed we came out with the lowest salt levels in Warrington and we gained our award.

Our Cook Rebecca, cooks all our meals from scratch using fresh ingredients, low salt and avoiding additives.

We follow a four week menu which changes for summer and winter. We offer balanced nutritional meals and our children really enjoy them. We provide meals for specific requirements whether this is for cultural, allergy or just preference.

Our children eat with an adult present, and we promote good table manners and social skills. The pre school have adopted self service and frequently make their own sandwiches for tea and help prepare snacks with our staff. We encourage the children to drink fresh water frequently.

We grow things in the garden which the children pick and then try them, encouraging good healthy habits. We have retained 5 stars from the environmental agency for the last 14 years. You can view/download our winter menu below.
